American Red Cross Certification
Albuquerque Academy is proud to be an American Red Cross (ARC) authorized training provider. Through its outreach programs — Think Academy and Charger Aquatics USA Swim Club — the Academy has issued hundreds of certifications over the past 10 years to students and adults in the greater Albuquerque area for completing course requirements in lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid.
Lifeguard Course
The purpose of the American Red Cross Lifeguarding course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over. This program is offered in a blended learning (online learning with instructor-led skill sessions) format.
